May 8th Update on Lula and Her Nest

Lula is really hunkering down in her nest. I haven't seen her out at all. Lucky hasn't been around either. I read on the internet that after the momma starts sitting on the eggs the male duck leaves to go hang with other males. Anyway, I thought Lula might be hungry so I took some bread out to her. I threw it right up close to the nest to see if she would come out. I could see her looking at me and holding really still. She didn't come out to eat so I went in and watched from the house. As soon as I went in I saw her peek her little head out to get the bread. I came out and gave her some more and went back in the house to watch and sure enough she ate it again.
