September 30th More Fall Fun

Look at the blue blue sky! Absolutely gorgeous! Just yesterday it was all gray and snowy. The baby found this fun little rock that looks like a chair. Rushgramma kept called it a little potty. All of the kids wanted a chance to sit on it but of course the baby thought it belonged to her since she was the one to find it.

September 24th Sardine Canyon

Today is my birthday! My husband took me and the kids to our favorite restaurant, El TorroViejo. The restaurant is in Logan so it's a bit of a drive but it's worth it. It's especially worth it in the fall because we got to drive through Sardine Canyon. The fall leaves were breath taking. We pulled off to the side of the road to take some pictures and we found a hiking trail called Rattlesnake Trail. We walked up the trail a little ways and it opened into a meadow with tall grasses and beautiful trees. We are going back on Saturday to explore the trail some more and to take some more pictures.

I love this picture of the leaves on the ground. The colors are awesome and the textures are awesome. I really like how the big green leaf is slightly off center. That leaf really grabs your attention. What great composition. And all I did was look down and shoot!

Birthday Girl

Here is a cute one of the Birthday Girl! I love that we can do piggy tails now. She is funny when I do her hair she says , "Oww, oww, thanks mama, owwww, thanks!" Then when we are finished she grins at herself in the mirror and says, "Coot."

First Day of Preschool

The long awaited day for Preschool to start finally came! My son was so excited to finally start preschool. He has wanted to go ever since his older sister went to preschool. He is absolutely loving it!

Toothless

Here is a picture I took last month. I just love this little toothless wonder. I tried to take many pictures of her and I told her to smile so that I could see the teeth. I kept getting faces like this one!

September 16 TWO CUTE!

What a wonderful Birthday! My daughter loved every minute of it! She knew it was her day. When I was making her cake she kept saying. "My happy happy!" I loved the picture of her cheesing it!

September 16 Adventures in Baking

I had to post a picture of the birthday cake I made for my daughters 2nd Birthday. It is a triple layer vanilla cake topped with 8 cup cakes and Curious George (from a kid's meal).
I was quite proud of the way it turned out. I learned some new tricks that made cake decorating a little easier, like putting a round of wax paper in the bottom of the pan to easily get the cake out (something I have always struggled with). And dipping the spatula in warm water when putting on the second layer of frosting to smooth it out.
