February 25th Six Great Years
When my husband and I bought this twin home I was 7 months pregnant. The home was a fixer upper but it was just right for us because we could afford it on just my husband's income. After the baby was born I planned to quit my job and be a stay at home mom. On Christmas morning 2000 my husband and I set up my camera on the tripod and took our picture in front of our new home. I was 8 months pregnant and it was a snowy morning. I thought it would be great to take our family picture in front of our home again before we move. So, I set up the tripod again and set the timer and here we are- all 5 of us on a snowy morning! We have loved this home while we've been here. I think I'll miss it a little. The other day my daughter said, "Mom, I'm going to miss this house." I asked her what she was going to miss about it and she said, "the memories." I told her that it's a good thing we get to take the memories with us. I'm so thankful for this home that we have lived in for the past 6 years. We brought all of our babies home to this house. I've been able to be a stay at home mom in this house. We've had a lot of great times here. I'm excited to move to our new home where we will have a bit more space!
February 25th Little Miss Potato Head
Why is it that little kids always want to wear Mr. Potato Head's glasses? I think my parents have a picture of my little brother when he was a little baby wearing potato head glasses. Our little potato head loves glasses! Here is another picture of her taken in October wearing some cute sun glasses! This girl is all about the glam!

February 12th Homemade Valentines
My sweet 6 year old loves homemade Valentines!
Last year she insisted that we make handmade valentines for preschool. I asked her if she wanted to put candy with them and she said, "No, the card is enough." This year I asked her if she wanted to buy some valentines and she emphatically said, "No mom, we have to make homemade ones. They're better." So, we spent many hours on Sunday cuting out hearts and gluing them into these cute animals and bugs. We made 28 valentines for classmates and teachers. This year she did want to add a candy. We taped a Dum Dum sucker to the back.

February 4th Hello Mr. Edwards!
Today was my hubby's birthday. The kids and I made him a chocolate cake. Our funny baby girl enjoyed it so much that she ended up with a full chocolate beard and mustache. We called her Mr. Edwards. She has the most expressive little face. This is a face she often makes where she smiles and squints her baby blues!

February 1st Fun with Lambert
My daughter was so excited to have her turn to take home Lambert, her kindergarten class pet. She did a little report on what she did with Lambert. She wanted to sleep on the floor with him tonight. We made a little bed on the floor for them to sleep on. The cutest part of her activities with Lambert is how she found out that Lambert is the cousin of her favorite bear Snowy.
